This loco was built in 5/1955 with EMD serial number 20208. She was built as a freight engine. She was painted in standard for the time "black widow" colors and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on each end.
She was assigned number SP 3908 in the 1965 system renumbering.
She entered the GRIP program and emerged as SP 4302 on 8/25/1970.
