This loco was built in 4/1955 with EMD construction number 20204. It was built as a freight engine. It was painted in standard for the time "black widow" colors and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on each end.
She was assigned number SP 3904 in the 1965 system renumbering.
She entered the GRIP program and emerged as SP 4433 on 12/19/1977.
