SP 5422
This loco was built in 4/1955 with EMD construction number 19987. She was built as a freight engine. She was painted in standard for the time "black widow" colors and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on each end.
She was assigned number SP 3900 in the 1965 system renumbering.
She entered the GRIP program and emerged as SP 4342 on 3/28/1971.
She was VERY late to be still wearing her road number on her nose in 1993 and not yet sporting a large SP there as had become the standard.
