This loco was built in 2/1955 with EMD construction number 19928. She was built as a freight engine. She was painted in standard for the time "black widow" colors and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on each end.
She was assigned number SP 3865 in the 1965 system renumbering.
She entered the GRIP program and emerged as SP 4377 on 01/21/1974.
Around 1986 she was painted in the SPSF Kodachrome paint scheme.
