This loco was built in 6/1970 with EMD construction number 5751-1 as demonstrator EMDX 4201 equipped with SP style gyralight and UDE light package on the front.

She was retired on 06/22/1984 and sold to EMD on 08/23/1984. She was scrapped at Pielet Bros. at McCook, IL.
