SP 9500-9501

The SP's original intent was to number the rebuilt SD45T-2 units into the SP 9500 series, however, the SPSF merger was in process at the time this program was beginning and it was decided that they would instead be given numbers reflecting the combined SPSF roster. They would have been numbered above SP's recently rebuilt SD45 fleet which would have been SP 6600-6766, therefore, the SD45T-2's were numbered starting at SP 6767, but not before two units were released, numbered as intended as SP 9500-9501. They were in service for only a short period of time before being renumbered, so pics of them in these numbers are quite rare..
