SSW 9301

This loco was built in 3/1973 with EMD construction number 72625-41. She was built as a freight engine. She was painted in standard for the time bloody nose colors and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on the front end. The rear featured a dual sealed beam light only.

She was rebuilt and renumbered to SP 6827 as part of the SP's GRIP program on 11/16/1987.

She was one of quite a few of SP's SD45T-2 units known to have been repainted into SP's "Speed Lettering" scheme at a point after the SP was bought by Rio Grande Industries in October 1988.

She was retired by the SP on x/19xx and sold to xxxx, becoming B&LE 908 on xx/xx/19xx.
