This loco was built in 2/1973 with EMD construction number 72625-9. She was built as a freight engine. She was painted in standard for the time bloody nose colors and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on the front end. The rear featured a dual sealed beam light only.
She was rebuilt and renumbered to SP 6816 as part of the SP's GRIP program on 07/30/1987.
She was retired by the SP on x/19xx and sold to xxxx, becoming B&LE 904 on xx/xx/19xx.
