SP 9196

This loco was built in x/1972 with EMD construction number 7336-31. She was built as a freight engine. She was painted in standard for the time bloody nose colors and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on the front end. The rear featured xxxx.
She was rebuilt and renumbered to SP 6770 as part of the SP's GRIP program on 07/15/1986. She was painted in kodachrome paint of the intended SPSF railroad at the time of rebuild. She was the last SD45T-2 to rebuilt and painted into kodachrome paint. The next unit released, SP 6771, was painted in standard SP red and grey due to the disapproval of the intended SPSF merger.
