This loco was built in x/1968 with EMD construction number 7081-10.

She was rebuilt and renumbered to SP 7565 as part of the SP's GRIP program on 0x/xx/198x. The most visible external changes at rebuild were the addition of a UDE light package to the rear of the unit and her new "kodachrome" colors as part of the attempted SPSF merger.
