This loco was built in 3/1969 with EMD serial number 7138-45.

She was rebuilt and renumbered to SP 7549 as part of the SP's GRIP program on xx/xx/198x. The most visible external change was the addition of a full set of Gyralight to the rear of the unit.

She was involved in the infamous Duffy St. wreck near San Bernardino, CA on 05/12/1989. She was scrapped on site.
