This loco was built in x/1967 with EMD construction number 7971-30.

She was rebuilt and renumbered to SP 7519 as part of the SP's GRIP program on 08/xx/1984. The most visible external change was the addition of a full set of Gyralight to the rear of the unit.

She was retired and scrapped after a serious (one crewman died) on July 2, 1997 at Kenefick, KS. Read the NTSB accident report detailing the wreck.
