SP 8899
This loco was built in 4/1967 with EMD construction number 7971-6.
She was rebuilt and renumbered to SP 7430 as part of the SP's GRIP program on 03/25/1982. The most visible external change was the addition of a full set of Gyralight to the rear of the unit.
She was repainted into "kodachrome" colors as part of the attempted SPSF merger several years after having been rebuilt.
She was retired by UP on 09/24/1998 and went to HELM Financial, then to Locomotive Leasing Partners and was finally scrapped at VMV in 05/2002.
