SP 8453

This loco was built in 4/1966 with EMD construction number 7861-44.

She was rebuilt and renumbered to SP 7355 as part of the SP's GRIP program on 02/28/1981. The most visible external change was the addition of a full set of Gyralight to the rear of the unit.

She was photographed with doors rearranged to spell out SUFFERRN PACIFIC on the fireman's side. It is not known who did the work or how long she ran with this "modification" or even if the engineer's side was given a similar treatment.
