SP 8441
This loco was built in 3/1966 with EMD construction number 7861-32.
She was rebuilt and renumbered to SP 7341 as part of the SP's GRIP program on 12/26/1980. The most visible external change was the addition of a full set of Gyralight to the rear of the unit.
She was one of three SP SD40's to retain her last two digits after GRIP, along with the SP 8431 & 8436. This was purely by conincidence as the new numbers were assigned in shop order as the units were rebuilt at random.
