This loco was built in 1/1966 with EMD construction number 7861-2.

She was rebuilt and renumbered to SP 7335 as part of the SP's GRIP program on 11/12/1980. The most visible external change was the addition of a full set of Gyralight to the rear of the unit.

She was re-painted into the SP's Speed Lettering scheme at some point.
