This loco was built in 11/1955 with ALCO construction number 81422.
She was delivered with a full light package front and rear, number boards and multiple unit connections as a road engine.
She was renumbered SP 1271 in the 1965 system renumbering.
She was retired from the SP roster and sold to Dow Chemical as their DOWX 1010. At some point, she ended up as Neptune Bulk Terminals #80 in Vancouver, B.C.
