This loco was built in 6/1944 with ALCO-GE construction number 72701.
She was ordered as (first) SP 1383, but renumbered as T&NO 36 at ALCO prior to delivery. Another locomotive became (second) SP 1383 (Baldwin VO-1000 70863.)
She was retired on 11/8/1965 and sold to ALCO on 12/14/1965 prior the 1965 system renumbering. She was assigned number SP 1724 in the 1965 renumbering, but it was never physically applied.
