This loco was built in 10/1953 with ALCO construction number 80791. She was built as a freight engine.

She was scheduled to be renumbered to SP 2860 in the 1965 system renumbering, but was wrecked prior to the number being physically applied.

She was retired on 10/04/1965 and sold to Alco Products on 10/04/1965 for scrap.
