SP 5869

This loco was built in 9/1959 with ALCO construction number 83489. It was built as a freight unit setup to run with her short hood forward. She was delivered painted in the SP's newly adopted bloody nose paint scheme and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on each end. She was one of only six RS11's delivered to the SP with low short hoods.
She was assigned number SP 2934 in the 1965 system renumbering.
She was retired in May 1973, then rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in Boise, ID for export service for Southern Peru Copper Corp. as their engine #13.
