T&NO 201A

Southern Pacific photo - Bridge City, LA - early 1950's

This loco was built in 6/1949 with ALCO-GE serial number 77087. She was painted in the SP's Daylight orange and red as a passenger engine.

She was renumbered to remove her alpha suffix along with many other SP E-units and F-units in the spring of 1950, becoming T&NO 202.

In December 1958, she was transferred to the Pacific Lines and operated in her T&NO number until becoming SP 6061 on 04/08/1959.

At some point in the late 1950's or possibly early 1960's she was repainted into the newly adopted grey and red "bloody nose" scheme for all locomotives regardless of passenger or freight assignment.

She was retired and sold to GE on 04/18/1963.
