SSW 301
This loco was built in 11/1949 with ALCO-GE construction number 77512. She was painted in the SP's Daylight orange and red with "St. Louis Southwestern" spelled out on her side as a passenger engine.
In December 1959, she was leased to the Pacific Lines and operated in her SSW number until becoming SP 6068 on 01/13/1960.
At some point in the late 1950's or possibly early 1960's she was repainted into the newly adopted grey and red "bloody nose" scheme for all locomotives regardless of passenger or freight assignment.
She was retired and sold to GE on 11/28/1963.
