SP 6009C

This loco was built in 9/1948 with ALCO-GE construction number 77100. She was painted in the SP's Daylight orange and red as a passenger engine. She was delivered as part of an ABA set which included a matching PB-unit numbered SP 6009B, but they were never drawbar equipped.

She was renumbered to remove her alpha suffix along with many other SP E-units and F-units in 1949. She became the SP 6014 on 10/21/1949.

At some point in the late 1950's or possibly early 1960's she was repainted into the newly adopted grey and red "bloody nose" scheme for all locomotives regardless of passenger or freight assignment.

She was retired on 01/02/1962 and scrapped at Sacramento, CO on 05/21/1962.
