SP 5829

This loco was built in 4/1959 with EMD construction number 25129. It was built as a freight engine. It was painted in newly adopted grey and red bloody nose scheme and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on each end.

She was assigned number SP 3692 in the 1965 system renumbering.

She entered the GRIP program and emerged as SP 3831 in 3/1976.

She received a combination gyralight/UDE light at some point prior to 1990 as evidenced by the above photo.
