SP 5796

This loco was built in 4/1957 with EMD construction number 22978. She was built as a freight engine. She was painted in standard for the time black widow colors and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on each end.
She was assigned number SP 3637 in the 1965 system renumbering.
She entered the GRIP program and emerged as SP 3775 in 7/1975.
Around 1985, this unit was repainted into the "Kodachrome" paint scheme.
She was retired on 11/08/1994 and sold on 03/30/1995 to Progress Rail.
She later went to F&M Car & Locomotive Shop (Louisville, KY), and then to Ottawa Valley Rail Link as their engine #4201.
