SP 5679

This loco was built in 4/1956 with EMD serial number 21372. She was built as a freight engine. She was painted in standard for the time black widow colors and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on each end.

She was assigned number SP 3512 in the 1965 system renumbering.

She entered the GRIP program and emerged as SP 3345 in 4/1972.

She was sold to MPI Scrap in Vinton, TX (near El Paso) in 1987 and became their engine MPI 22. She worked at the scrap yard for many years as the in-plant switch engine until finally being scrapped herself on site at some point after 1991.
