SP 5625:
This loco was built in 4/1955 with EMD builder's number 19980. She was built as a passenger engine with a boiler in the nose. She was setup with dual control stands for operation in either direction, thus it had wings on the front and rear. She was painted in standard for the time black widow colors and featured Pyle oscilating dish signal lights on both ends and rooftop air resevoirs for increased fuel and water capacity between the trucks.
She was assigned number SP 3007 in the 1965 system renumbering.
She entered the GRIP program and emerged as SP 3190 in bloody nose paint in 8/1977.
As of April 2015, this engine was stored unservicable and full of graffiti in Eureka, CA at the former Northwestern Pacific Railroad yard along with three other ex SP GP9's. It is rumored that all four engines will be relocated and restored in some way. It is hoped that they would be made operable once again.
It appears that as of September 2025, she is being removed from the landlocked track she has sat on for a future with possible restoration.
