This loco was built in 1/1955 with EMD construction number 20137. It was built as a freight engine. It was painted in standard for the time black widow colors and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on each end.
She was assigned number SP 3449 in the 1965 system renumbering.
She entered the GRIP program and emerged as SP 3306 in 4/1970.
She was renumbered into a switcher series as SP 2884 in 1978.
