SP GP35 page: Locomotives painted into the "Kodachrome" scheme

SP Kodachrome painted GP35's:

The attempted merger of the SP and Santa Fe railroads brought the proposed red and yellow SPSF "Kodachrome" paint scheme applied to various locomotives (and a few cabooses) of each railroad in anticipation of the approval of the merger. That, of course, did not happen. There were 8 SP GP35's and 5 GP35R's so painted. They are presented as follows:
