This loco was built in 4/1962 with EMD construction number 27349. It was built as a freight engine. It was painted in standard for the time bloody nose colors and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on each end.
She was assigned number SP 4078 in the 1965 system renumbering.
She entered the GRIP program and emerged as SP 4113 in 4/27/1977.
