This loco was built in 3/1962 with EMD construction number 27107. It was built as a freight engine. It was painted in standard for the time bloody nose colors and featured a full 5 light headlight arrangement on each end.
She was assigned number SP 4070 in the 1965 system renumbering.
She was never rebuilt as part of the GRIP program.
