This loco was built in 07/1953 with EMD construction number 18379. It was built as a 1500 hp F7 B-unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was transferred to the Pacific Lines as SP 8305 on 08/14/1960. She has the distinction of being the very highest numbered SP F unit.
She was retired on 06/05/1969 and sold to GE (via Precision Engineering Corp.) on 06/13/1969.
