This loco was built in 09/1951 with EMD construction number 12827. It was built as a 1500 hp F7 B-unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was transferred to the Pacific Lines as SP 8286 on 12/09/1952.
She was retired on 08/27/1969 and sold to GE (via Precision Engineering Corp.) on 08/27/1969.
