This loco was built in 5/1953 with EMD serial number 18374. She was built as a 1500 hp F7 A unit. She was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.

She was transferred to the SP and renumbered SP 6465 on 08/06/1960.

She was retired on 04/16/1969 and sold to EMD on 07/31/1969.
