This loco was built in 05/1953 with EMD construction number 18370. It was built as a 1500 hp F7 A unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was retired on 06/04/1970. She was set aside to be converted to snowplow "snail" service by 10/04/1970, but was instead scrapped.
