This loco was built in 05/1953 with EMD construction number 18358. She was built as a 1500 hp F7 A-unit. She was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was retired on 08/07/1969 and sold to GE on 08/21/1969.
She was resold in 11/1969 to Wellsville, Addison & Galeton as their engine #2300.
She was resold and rebuilt by GE-Hornell in 1/1981 and began service pulling commuter trains in Pittsburgh, PA as PATrain #6691.
in 8/1989, she moved to Connecticut Department of Transportation as their engine #6691 painted in a New Haven railroad inspired scheme.
Circa 2012, she was rebuilt and cosmetically painted in Santa Fe Warbonnet colors as engine #316 and sent to the Center for Transportation & Commerce in Galveston, TX.
