This loco was built in 01/1953 with EMD construction number 17216. It was built as a 1500 hp F7 A unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was retired on 02/05/1969 and sold to GE (via Precision National Corp.) on 05/20/1969.
