This loco was built in 09/1951 with EMD construction number 12825. It was built as a 1500 hp F7 A-unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was transferred to the Pacific Lines as SP 6438 on 12/02/1952.
She was wrecked in a rock slide near Eugene, OR on 08/1968, retired on 08/27/1968 and sold to EMD on 10/25/1968.
