This loco was built in 09/1951 with EMD construction number 12824. It was built as a 1500 hp F7 A-unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was transferred to the Pacific Lines as SP 6437 on 01/21/1953.
She was retired on 12/31/1969 and sold to EMD on 01/06/1970.
