This loco was built in 09/1951 with EMD construction number 12823. It was built as a 1500 hp F7 A-unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was transferred to the Pacific Lines as SP 6436 on 12/31/1952.
She was retired on 10/14/1969 and sold to EMD on 10/31/1969.
