This loco was built in 02/1953 with EMD construction number 18149. It was built as a 1500 hp F7 B-unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was retired on 01/26/1970. On 08/19/1970 she was transferred to MofW service and became snowplow power unit (snail) SPMW 8207.
