This loco was built in 02/1953 with EMD construction number 18148. It was built as a 1500 hp F7 B-unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was retired on 06/10/1969 and sold to GE (via Prescision Engineering Corp.) on 06/30/1969. She was resold by Precision Engineering Corp. to Missouri Kansas Texas railroad (MKT) for trade in credit to EMD.
