This loco was built in 08/1951 with EMD construction number 12796. It was built as a 1500 hp F7 B-unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was retired on 05/28/1969 and sold to GE (via Precision Engineering Corp.) on 06/03/1969.
