This loco was built in 03/1953 with EMD construction number 18145. It was built as a 1500 hp FP7 A-unit. She was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was sold to Amtrak 05/1973. Renumbered AMTK 123. Renumbered to AMTK 378 in 04/1976.
Sold 10/1976 to EMD. Scrapped by Pielet Brothers at LaGrange, IL.
She was never repainted into Amtrak colors.
