This loco was built in 07/1952 with EMD construction number 16577. It was built as a 1500 hp F7 A-unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was retired on 04/30/1969 and sold to GE on 05/14/1969.
She is reported to have been sold to Illinois Central as their engine #708. It is not known if she was repainted or how much work she did or what her ultimate disposition was.
