This loco was built in 09/1951 with EMD construction number 12803. It was built as a 1500 hp F7 A-unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was retired on 07/09/1970 and sold to GE (via Precision Engineering Corp.) on 07/22/1970.
She was leased by Precision Engineering to the Clinchfield (CRR) in 12/1970. It is not known how much service she saw or if she was renumbered or repainted. More info is needed!
She went to Chicago & North Western (C&NW) as their unit #254 in 10/1971.
She went to EMD in 12/1975. Nothing is known of her disposition or current status.
