This loco was built in 11/1950 with EMD construction number 10626. It was built as a 1500 hp F7 A-unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was retired on 05/14/1969 and sold to GE (via Precision Engineering Corp.) on 07/29/1969. At some point shortly after being sold to GE, this unit appears to have been resold to some railroad (possibly IC or MKT?) for trade in credit to EMD.
