This loco was built in 10/1950 with EMD construction number 10612. It was built as a 1500 hp F7 A-unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
She was retired on 07/14/1969 and sold to GE (via Precision Engineering Corp.) on 07/29/1969. At some point, she was then sold to the MKT railroad for trade in fodder to EMD.
