SP 6139A
This loco was built in 02/1949 with EMD construction number 6941. It was built as a 1500 hp F3 A-unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
Her alpha suffix was done away with when the F3 fleet was renumbered in December 1949 as she became SP 6178. She was transferred to the T&NO and renumbered as T&NO 310 (2nd) on 03/12/1957.
She was returned to the Pacific Lines and given her 1949 number of SP 6178 on 12/26/1960.
She was retired and sold to EMD on 11/14/1963.
