SP 6108B
This loco was built in 12/1947 with EMD construction number 4558. It was built as a 1500 hp F3 B-unit. It was painted in the SP's standard for the time black widow colors.
Her alpha suffix was to have been done away with when the F3 fleet was renumbered in late 1949. She was to have became SP 8016, but was sent to the T&NO and renumbered as T&NO 516 on 12/17/1949 prior to this number being applied.
She was rebuilt as an F9M at EMD and renumbered T&NO 700 in 11/27/1954.
She was retired on 06/27/1966 and sold to EMD on 07/16/1966.
